Personhood: Birth Control
Genuine Birth Control is Contraception, as long as no embryo is killed. The goal of Genuine Contraception is Prevention. The entire focus of Prevention is keeping the female oocyte (i.e., "ovum" or "egg") from joining with the sperm cells from the male, which by God's design, results in a single cell embryo or the biological beginning of sexually reproduced human life. Preventing the fertilization of the ovum by sperm cells can include the use of various devices, drugs, medications, agents, sexual practices such as abstinence, or surgical procedures. Therefore Genuine Contraception helps women plan if and when they want to have a baby. So let's be very clear. Will Personhood Outlaw Genuine Birth Control? Empathically NO because no child would be killed!
So why does Planned Parenthood push "Birth Control"?
Because they know that many forms of what they call "Birth Control" are really Abortifacient. According to Margaret Sanger, the Mother of the Birth Control movement, the Founder and past President of Planned Parenthood: 1
"Birth control itself, often denounced as a violation of natural law, is nothing more or less than the facilitation of the process of weeding out the unfit, of preventing the birth of defectives or of those who will become defectives." — Margaret Sanger, "Woman and the New Race" with a preference by Havelock Ellis, New York: Brentano's, 1920.
Two years later Sanger made it absolutely clear and put all fears to rest:
"Birth control must lead ultimately to a cleaner race." — Margaret Sanger, Woman, Morality, and Birth Control. New York: New York Publishing Company, 1922. Page 12.
Personhood: Abortifacients
Let me be clear. Abortion is Not Genuine Birth Control! Drugs that work after the sperm and the oocyte have joined which is the biological beginning of sexually reproduced human life perform Abortions, Not Genuine Birth Control. Again, Margaret Sanger, the Mother of the Birth Control movement, the Founder and past President of Planned Parenthood clears the air and settles the distinction between Birth Control and Abortion by putting it this way:
"Any attempt to interfere with the development of the fertilized ovum is called an abortion." — Margaret Sanger, Family Limitation, Revised Sixth Edition, 1917.
However, today "medical" or "chemical" abortions are non-surgical abortions which use Abortifacients (i.e., pharmaceutical drugs) to induce abortion. Specifically, an Abortifacient is a drug that kills a newly formed human being, whether by directly killing the baby or by preventing implantation, and so cause an abortion, either intentionally or unintentionally. Drugs such as the RU486 or Ella One are examples of Abortifacients. Medical abortion became an alternative method of abortion with the availability of prostaglandin analogs in the early 1970's and the anti-progestogen mifepristone in the 1980's. RU486 is the old name for Mifepristone 2 and even the clinical researchers behind ellaOne use the word "embryotoxic" to describe the pills ability to terminate the life of an embryo (i.e., human life). 3
Again, let me be clear. Abortion is Not Genuine Birth Control!
Moreover, Personhood Will NOT Ban or Outlaw Genuine Birth Control!
Personhood: Abstinence
"Thou shalt not commit adultery. Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband." — (Exodus 20:14; 1 Corinthians 7:2, KJV)
Abstinence (abstinence, ãb'stə-nəns) is the only Genuine Birth Control method that is 100% effective in preventing pregnancy as well as sexually transmitted diseases. Many define abstinence as an exceedingly well thought-out choice regarding one's mind, body and sexual health. Abstinence within Holy Matrimony includes the practice of voluntarily refraining from some aspects of sexual activity during certain times of the month. BEFORE Holy Matrimony Abstinence is what I call God's Genuine Birth Control plan for our precious youth. All too often today we act as if sexual intercourse and conception are not connected, but they are. Abstinence demonstrates a love for life at every stage of our development by acknowledging that one obvious consequence of sexual intercourse is the possible conception of a new innocent living human being.
"Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you." — Jeremiah 5:1, God's Word ®
Personhood: The Facts Are In Now!
Since the Philadelphia Convention of 1787, America has struggled to get Personhood right. In our country's past, Personhood did not include Black, Japanese, Native American's, Women and since 1973, the child in the womb. 4 Today Personhood get's it right. Personhood brings science, history, tradition and common sense together in a way that allows all human life to meet the definition of a "Person" under the Fourteenth Amendment. 5 Personhood is biblical and thus entirely righteous. Personhood lays the foundation for a culture of life by recognizing everyone, every human being, from the beginning of our biological development as human organisms — regardless of the means by which we were procreated, method of reproduction, age, race, sex, gender, physical well-being, function, or condition of physical or mental dependency and/or disability as a Person. 6 From the child in the womb, to the senior citizen facing end of life decisions, to the disabled war veteran, everybody is a Person. The truth is, Personhood for ALL should have been settled a long time ago. I wonder what's holding us up? The facts are in. The ultrasounds are clear. I believe every Person should be protected by love and by law. Don't you?
Brothers, we really need to talk.
